OUR STORY

When we founded Woody Creek Distillers, our mission was simple: To pour everything we are into everything we make. We set out to make nothing but the finest craft spirits, each with a unique taste and character that was true to the origins of that spirit. It’s a standard we hold ourselves to every day. We never use neutral grain spirits or blend with base spirits from other distillers. We grow and harvest many of our own ingredients, like the Rio Grande potatoes for our premium vodka. We only source our grains from trusted Colorado farms, like the rye in our 100% rye mash whiskey. For the finishing touch, we distill every spirit we make in our own custom CARL stills – a shining copper example of engineering and art that turns the Earth’s freshest ingredients into the world’s most treasured spirits. This is without a doubt the perfect place to raise a drink.

VODKA

It began as an obsession to create the world’s best vodka from the ground up – or in this case, just below it. Each surprisingly complex sip of our premium potato vodka was born of locally harvested Rio Grande potatoes, mashed fresh and distilled only once to bring you a rare vodka with a character all its own. Cranberry juice is entirely optional.

RYE

We’ve poured ourselves into bringing you this straight rye whiskey of uncommon complexity and “damn that’s smooth” taste. Each bottle of our 100% Colorado Rye is crafted in custom CARL stills using locally grown rye from trusted Colorado farms, then gracefully aged a minimum of four years in new American oak. Indeed, this is how you turn rye into gold.

GIN

Old-world gin meets new-world botanicals. Our Roaring Fork Gin is crafted from our pure potato spirit, redistilled with local juniper berries handpicked by our own master distiller, along with a thoughtful blend of 12 other botanicals. This modern expression of a treasured spirit will both surprise and delight the pickiest of gin drinkers from the Rocky Mountains to London.

BOURBON

Our latest addition to the Woody Creek family of spirits has been years in the making. Our much-anticipated Colorado Bourbon, aged a minimum of four years in deeply charred new American oak, has just enough spice to get your attention, with hints of cinnamon, caramel, and honey in the background. Settle in to its complex personality and satisfyingly long finish, and you’ll agree that it was certainly worth the wait.

she’s crisp, dry and a lil’ fizzy with aromatics of fresh strawberry and raspberry, paired with a crisp white peach finish.

Barrels are hand picked for Louisiana to honor the hometown of our partner, Chris Sarpy, who has family roots in New Orleans dating back 300 years.

TASTING NOTES

By nose: Raspberry, mandarin orange peel and nutmeg. By mouth: Stone fruit, pink grapefruit, Tahitian lime, blood orange, raspberry with a gentle mouthfeel. A food friendly wine that works with many different styles, sauces and preparations. Pairs well with full flavored fish, pork chops, and chicken. Also try with crispy kale and stir fried vegetables. All you really need is dark, bittersweet chocolate!

WINEMAKER NOTES

Wedding Cuvée is our interpretation of a Blanc de Noirs. In blending this wine we chose Pinot Noir lots that were extremely expressive and fruit forward. Then in a decided step away from convention, we blend in a bit of steely Chardonnay to add a firm acid backbone. Hand harvested in the chill of early morning our Pinot Noir is gently pressed as whole clusters. The juice slowly ferments in stainless steel tanks at 62° to 65°f retaining bright fruit aro-mas and flavors in the wine. The dosage for the 2015 Wedding Cuvée is 7 mls Blanc de Noirs Lex and 4 ml 2016 Rued Chardonnay.
